Recently, I wrote and Passed the Hashicorp Terraform Associate Exam. In this Post I'm going to do a deeper dive on guides and Tips I used for my exam. I hope you find them useful.
I used a mix of Tia Williams Course on Acloud Guru and Terraform's Associate official training guide. I found that for learning terraform with no prior experience the Terraform's associate guide was both too bulky and complex but thorough, Irrespective of whichever training Platform you decide to stick with, you'll discover that you'll ultimately need the Terraform Associate guide in the final weeks of preparation.

Hands On
In order to stand a chance at Passing you'll need some hands on Learning
Primarily I used my vSphere Environment for Practicing and my AWS trial Account whenever I specifically needed to test Cloud Services.
You can open a free AWS trial account which cover most free services for the first 12 months.
It's important to Note Terraform objective is never about the Infrastructure or Platform. It's always about learning terraform services and differentiating between them.
The Exam will test core foundational knowledge of Terraform Services and Commands. Plan and Apply. It is important to go deeper on these commands on understand what happens before and after these commands.
I played extensively with vSphere Providers, I've always wanted to learn provisioning with terraform on vSphere. Their applications to public clouds are really similar and it can really give a deeper form of Knowledge.
Hope you found this Post useful. If you're Preparing to write it, I wish you the best of luck.
